VE Day Celebrated Across the Schemes
Last week we marked the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
Lanchester Court tenants joined together to remember and honour the courage of all those who contributed to Victory in Europe.
It was a real community effort, with everyone supplying food and drinks. The social room was adorned with Union Jack bunting and flags. Background music consisted of war time classics.
Leander Court also joined together to celebrate.
Tenants and friends from St Barnabas Court enjoyed a social afternoon remembering the many who served to ensure our freedom. It was a time to enjoy their time together, listen to WW2 music and appreciate their community. Attendees brought food and drink to add to the occasion.
